Moving To San Marcos!

Joshua represents the Navigator Collegiate Mission on the NavVida Leadership Team, and has recently followed God's call to an exciting new assignment. He has accepted the Campus Director position to pioneer and launch a new Navigator college ministry at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.  There has never been a Navigator ministry at Texas State, so he will be starting from scratch.

After many years of ministry at Texas Tech, both as a student and on staff, he has seen the Lord do transformational things in the lives of those he has spent time with. He's experienced great joy in rejoicing with others in their accomplishments and walking alongside people who were deeply struggling. He's always amazed by the emotional and spiritual growth he has seen in those around him. As he's reflected on this last season at Tech, he's more convinced than ever in his calling to work with college students and to the strategic nature of preparing them not just for their four years in college, but for the next 40 years of their lives. Joshua gives much praise to God for what He has already done, and for the foundation of disciple-making students and staff that will remain and carry on the ministry at Texas Tech.

In January 2018, Joshua will move to San Marcos to launch this new ministry. In looking to the future, he's eager to see what God will do with a whole new campus, a whole new group of students and a new staff team! Two new staff, Zack and Sarah, have been recruited to join him in this exciting new adventure! He's challenged by what Paul said in Romans 15:20-21: “... and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named... ‘[so that] those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.”

He's excited to pioneer a work for the Lord on a campus where he can reach those who have never seen and those who have never heard about Christ, so that there may be no place left where His name is not known!

In launching this new ministry, God has guided Joshua to reflect on Isaiah 43:18–19: “Forget the former things; do not dwell in the past. See I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” God is doing a new thing in Joshua's life and heart. He has given him a new focus, and he's willing and excited to follow.

Josh also mentioned that Sarah could use some help in raising the needed funds to minister on this campus with Josh and Zack. If you would like to know more about how to help Sarah, please contact her at Sarah.regalado368@gmail.com.

Please join us in praying for this new ministry:

  • For Joshua and the new staff team as God leads in this new direction that they will experience His grace in new and exciting ways.

  • Pray that God would begin to soften the hearts of the students attending Texas State University to the good news of the Gospel.

  • That God would provide for every need of the staff team – Joshua, Zack and Sarah – “according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
